This video was beautifully edited by longtime friend and editor, Jon Slackman. We created it together, using footage I personally shot with my cell phone along with my friend Meg Montgomery's cell phone images and photos. We needed to document our involvement with the movement and the incredible events taking place. I wrote 1/2 of "Occupied" (aboard the SI Ferry) on my way to Zucotti Park for the very first time in early October 2011. I finished the lyrics on my return trip. My intention became to create this video. The images are from that first visit, March from Foley Sq. to Zucotti Pk., Washington Sq. Pk., March from Washington Sq. Pk. to Zucotti Pk. and Occupy Times Sq. I performed, recorded and mixed the song at Pepper Temple Studio SI NY in early November 2011.
